00 z24 convertible on cincinnati craigslist for 1k. It has a blown motor and is modded. It's been for sale for about a year so you could probably pick it up for half that.

Rob:
Is that one black, SS hood (in primer) and black Z24 rims?

If it is, I think I know exactly which one you're talking about and can check it out for anyone, as it's close to my in-laws and I'm over there pretty regularly. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's at a little independent dealer and I can get the ph# if it's not in the CL ad.

Thats the one. If you could take a quick glance and just make sure it aint rusting out for me that would be awesome.

I've looked at it once before (year + ago) and the body was decent as far as that goes, but I will have my father-in-law stop by and see if it's changed since then.

I think the top had a minor leak even then, so I wouldn't count on any of the interior fabric to be in much shape, but if you can score it for $500, you'd still be doing alright. No radio and some painted interior pieces IIRC. #3 bearing, auto. If I could get it for $500 myself I'd consider flipping it honestly (at least based on what I saw of it).

Will let you know for sure after I talk to my FIL.
