Honestly it costs me so much to insure and garage yearly that it is almost like a car payment. I have every type of possible insurance on it and right now money is tight to be honest. I love the Z with all my heart, but sometimes it gets aggrevating when I only get to see the car like once a week if that and sometimes I wonder if someone else might get to "enjoy" more than I am. Don't get me wrong their is nothing like opening the door to get in and smelling the fresh Italian leather interior and just sitting in a the cockpit of a custom machine that I built. I know exactly what you are saying Ben. I have been saying that for years now. I want nothing more than for my children to someday be able to come for a ride with me in it, but when you don't have your own garage and have to rent one even though the rent is cheap it gets depressing..... In my dreams I always wanted a nice garage with a white and black checker board floor where I could sit down when the Z was retired and just wax her down and admire it, but in my lifes journey I do not see this dream ever having a chance of becoming a reality......... I have had the title in my hand since 2000 and was so happy about that. But with insurance in the town where I keep it being so high even though it is VERY secure, It still costs me a good deal of money. It is kind of like a never ending money pit and right now I do not have it. Trust me Ben if I was rich or well off I would never sell it, but I am not and that is truly the case.....

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo damn man we need to find you a new place to store it then ask me i will help do a search and try to get a nice secure place for it. lets be honest here no one will take care of it like you have/will it will turn into another car some punkass kid baught with mommy and daddy and it will get trashed

if it isn't driven much, why not just take the collission insurance off of it. That will take a good chunk out of insurace payments. Plus most insurance compnaies don't cover after market parts anyway so ever if you do get in an accident it's not gonna help you much anyway. jmo

My particular insurance does cover the Z as it is a custom vehicle via theft, fire and collision. I really just want to try something new aswell.

oyyci you can get aftermarket insurance that cover aftermarket parts as long as you provide them with receipts. its really inexpensive too,..... Adam NOOOOO! lol whenever i think of a particular mod for my car like i was thinking of choosing that spoiler, i searched for your car to see the angles of how it would look, when i wanted a cf trunk to see how it would look on a cav i searched for your car to look. you built a machine man, you were good to the car and it was good to you bringing home trophies and whatnot. whatever decision you make though good luck in your mind youll know whats right.

Well I decided not to sell the Z ! I really never wanted to as most of you know, but being a good husband is the prioriety in my life and putting food on the table takes presidence over my hobby/lifestyle as much as it can suck. The job that I am at now pays really well and I have unlimited overtime if I want it so I have no worries at this point at making the bills and mortgage and whatnot. I do want to say that I appreciate all the nice things that all of you guys above wrote! It meant a lot to me and made me realize that I have to make my dream come true about my checker board garage because I will not accept the alternative. I also wanted to state that I am going to be working on some new fiberglass projects for the Z soon and will keep you all updated on them. Again thanks for all the support!
