i went to a local car show in chemung NY at the local circle track, and holy crap was it stupid, the bikini contest was cancelled and there were no trophys or nothing, it sucked. i wasn't even gonna enter it, but after seeing all the hondas there i had to show them up.........and you should have heard them ........"wow, its an ecotec, those have like 200hp" so as the night went on, people started taking half laps on the track......(we were parked on the track) and they got kicked out for it too......oh well....
however there was a kick ass 95-99 z24 supercharged cavy there, that thing was sweet, niciest engine bay ive ever seen on a cavy

edit: I had the fire there but I left at 6:30 because it was gay. I showed up at 4:30 getting my car perfect hoping it was gonna be a good show. I had left because it was so bad. Granted, the silver supercharged prelude was nice. Belonged to a buddy of mine name Brian. There were lots of turboed civics and stuff, but not many cars were done well.
oh i was there at 630 but didn't enter my car till about 7 its a blue 03 cavy, you may have seen it when you were leaving....i saw you leave, sweet ride btw
and yeah, all the turboed cars were pretty much hack jobs

Thanks Mike. I wish I saw your ride. I probabaly wasn't paying attention though. Still good to get some J's out to even some smaller shows. And yea, the turbo setups were hack jobs. Crappy welds, everything.
yeah, its kinda unfortunate too, seems like a lot of those guys have the desire/motivation to have cool cars, just no direction or anyone to say "hey, don't do that, thats a hackjob"
