So, I'm on my way to work this morning, and I get pulled over by an Evesham cop in Marlton NJ. I handed him my papers (along with my FOP courtesy card) and ask him what I did wrong. He then asks me if I still have my Cat on the car, since my exhaust was "a little loud". I replied that indeed that it was. He then asked me who in Philly I new that was a cop, and I responded that my father is a retired homocide detective. After about 20 minutes, he comes back and says, since my dad was a detective etc, and (propably due to the fact that I have a clean record).. he goes to tell me that my muffler is sticking past my bumper, and that he wanted to make me aware if it.. I tell him, that's how the shop put it on... So he lets me on my way... I thought it was funny, that he was just fishing for something to be wrong.
Hehehe, yeah since I got my new header and cat back exhuast i kinda hold my breath when i pass cops. i don't know if its really that loud, or if its just that loud to me. my brother is a sergeant out near where i live but wont go pick up his damn cards, so i am without one...
mods come once every great while... man i wish i wasn't so cheap..

a clutch is a lovely thing...go past a cop...push it in
that's why i run a boost-activated exhaust cutout.... no boost, no open, no noise... Once the foot goes to the floor though, its REAL obvious

I used to think (the car pictured in my sig) had a loud exhaust until I got my new one which is boosted with 2.5" piping all the way back.
Yea, the other one sounds like NOTHING compared to that one.

my sisters bf's friend is a jersey cop so i get out of everything
hah...cops.. not all cops are bad, ive only had bad experience with hazlet.. (stupid bitch cop pulled me over for a crooked plate).. a keansburg police officer was tailing me at night, so i was driving limit and i saw movement in the distance, like people running across the road, so i slammed on my brakes, he nearly rear ended me.. pulled up next to me at a stop sign and gave me a dirty look and went on his way. but as far as exhaust questions, what i have noticed, with my magnaflow set up, even though its kinda loud, i do not catch police attention as much as i did with a stupid apc fart cannon. most cops are not out to get you. if you do something stupid or drive like an idiot.. guess what, dont cry about it. other than that, youd be fine.
my magnaflow decal gives me 100 hp!
