my car is a 2002 cav LS Sedan...
bodykitted with BC2...its damaged currently, but sideskirt is fixed, waiting to be re-mounted, and other damage will be fixed shortly, will not be sold damaged.
intake and motor mounts only engine work done, and all stock parts are still in possesion, so i can swap them in if itll get me more cash.
only 53k miles on the car, not too shabby, not great tho.
its a LS, so its got the better seats, power windows, locks, tach, cruise control, etc...its got the 15" steelies too. (not the alloys) rims are brand new. only problem since i bought it at 27k was a front left hub bearing. well maintained up the wazoo by me (a mechanic's apprentice...the only car i could probably be a full-on mechanic for besides volvo where i work)
i do have all the stock parts...but the front bumper and fender are damaged. front left fender is damaged beyond repair...but i can always get another one and have it and the front fixed and painted within a few weeks if necessary.
kenwood cd-mp3 player, and sirius radio BUILT IN. (not plug and play...and the antenna is molded into the rear decklid seatbelt anchors) (stil got stock radio)
pioneer 3-way 4x6's (still got stock front speakers)
BUT...kitted, with the mods... and all that other bullsnot...think i could get 5,500 for it??? its book value in good condition was around 6 grand. ive got about 5 g's left on my loan.
if not...what do you think i would neeed to do to get 5,500 or 6 grand?
better off...know anyone that wants it??? taking offers starting at 5,500!!

I WANT AN ECOTEC OR Z24!!!

Everyones going to tell you the same thing...mod reduce the value of your car...which is sorta true...people are naturally weary of a modded car cause there gonna think u drove it hard as hell...
i think you could get 5 g's for it...you just need to find someone who WANTS to by a car who loves the new changes and lastly insure them it is a fine vehical that wasnt beat on like a red-headed step child.
main selling point for your ride- what a cool car that gets awesome mpg!?

if you try to sell it locally you could prolly get that. you can always go on ebay and set the reserve on whats the lowest you are willing to take to see how how the bids go. good luck.

i AM being realistic. most people won't pay more than book price on a disposable vehicle, and no bank will do a car loan for more than book. tust me, i know this firsthand. unfortunately, cars like cavaliers(and corollas

) are disposable, so good luck finding a buyer. you're better off parting it out.

and mods dont up the value of a car. they make it less then what it is worth.
better off parting the car out

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!

NOT TOTALY True i just got a loan for a 96 cavy that is a lil over priced but the very low mileage on it cancels out the yr of the car so depending on how many miles are one the vheical and what kind of shape is done to it modding dosent decrease the value of the car it dosent do ne thing id say stick with the 5g's as a starting point put a for sale sign on it or run it in your local newspaper n see how much ppl are willing to give for it if they like it enuff they'll buy it but don't settle for less than kbb value being an 02 sedan and granted it has decent mileage on it id give 4,500 for it but thats just me

book value was set at 6 grand...not 5!!! hence with the mileage...and the fact that i can make it almost stock again...i thought i could get 5,500. thanks for the input guys!

see, there's no need to get nasty when suggestions are given that prove better than what you were asking.

i wasnt getting nasty, and you have my apologies if i made it seem like i was.
i figured 5,500 was a good number, since its below book value because of all the modifications...just wanted some other opinions...because my logic SUCKS!

Good luck. I had a 2001 Cavalier that I tried to sell 2 years ago. It had many of the things you mentioned, full body kit, spoiler, hood, rims, suspension, sound system, plus bolt ons. You know what my highest bid was. $2,500. This is the truth, unless if I found an enthusiest who wanted to pay a lot which good luck in the J-Body world I knew the $2,500 was the best I would find after sitting on it for a few months. So all I am saying is good luck getting $5,500.
