i need to change my head gasket and i got other gaskets to replace but i don't have an engine hoist. So if ya have a hoist and wanna help let me know please. I live in Lansford Pa if anyone knows of its close to Jim Thorpe and Hazleton. I'd like to do it Saturday or Sunday but I doubt anyone will be available...thanks

its a 2.4L ...there bolts that hold the cam covers from behind the timing set i know what i'm doing i just put the motor in

i think you will have better results undoing the motor mount, and jacking the motor with a wood block on the oil pan...

i have a hoist, but you are way to far way for me...

I did my headgasket about 2 months ago.. I used a jack to lift the motor up and down for bolt access... You don't need a lift.

You'll have to remove the entire timing chain housing anyway to get access to the last 2 headbolts on that side...

With the passenger upper & lower motor mount disconnected, that motor moves quite a bit up and down... More than enough for access to all the timing housing bolts...

^^^thats exactly what i was thinking when i asked why you needed a hoist. jacking the engine up and down is 10x easier than pulling it.
