Loooong story, and I don't even know if I am able to disclose the purpose intended for them....
But we need the motor and trans, anyone have one in a VW or Mercedes or something? Any links or leads would be helpful.. the sooner we can snag one, the easier and quicker we can get everything in order for this huge under taking we've got coming towards us over the winter...

But for now i recommend a 5.9L Cummins, you can't go wrong with a Cummins.
Also what type of trans are you looing for? Auto? Manual?
We can't go that big... the absolute largest is a small 6.
Trans doesn't matter, but manual is preferred. Less bull@!#$ting when it comes to the stand alone.

SRT-8 =/= Cavalier. I basically gave my Cavalier away for the SRT-8, though.
