ok so i was wondering if can swap a z24 95-99 cluster with tach or sunfire 95-99 cluster with tach into my 99 2200 w/o tach?
You should be able to. If the cluster really is from within that year range then it should just Plug-and-Play.
You have to make sure its from another 99' and you might have to do the passlock reset, but its possable.
yea you can swap them you will have to do the passlock relearn and im pretty sure tinkles is right that is has to come from a 99 cuz it was the switch over year with the bcm?
99 is the inbetween year, so im not exactly sure what they have.
I only know for sure about 96' and 00-05' Js.

pretty much if you get a cluster from a 99z that has a tach, you can plug and play. it must be from a 99 and it must be from a cavalier. only 00-05s are interchangable.

still wondering what i need to do the sunfire swap i heard 98-99 is plug n' play from some ppl and from others i need to wire it. can anyone clear this up for me??
you cant swap a sunfire cluster in. thats only for the 00+ that they are interchangable. you'll need a cavalier cluster from a 99z to swap it.
ok one last question will the 4 spd cluster with tach from a z work on a 3 spd cav w/o one?
