On the cutting spring issue I can attest to this.I cut my springs 2 days ago and hate it now, plus the springs have now came out of the insulators and are rubbing the strut towers. Please everyone do not make this mistake. Also my car doesnt handle for crap now!
Alright, so heres my question. I got an 88 Cavalier RS 2.0L. MPH gauge only goes to 85mph. But, the gauges on both sites its exactly the same as the RS 3.1L with the exception of the mph obviously being higher. So im guessing if i were to buy this i wouldn't be able to tell my mph would i? I was just outside looking at it and everything is located in the same spot just it has 120mph not 85mph and its the only one thats the same.
yeah, I was also wondering about the above I have a 89 sunbird 2.0 non-turbo and I'm putting a turbo gauge cluster in and I was wondering since the MPH is higher on the turbo cluster do I have to change the cable that goes from the transmission to the gauge cluster or is it all in the cluster t self? Oh....or do I have to get it recalibrated or something???

Tyrin what cluster do you have, if you don't have the cluster with the tach in it you will have to completely rewire the connector that plugs into the guage cluster, it wont just plug it and work, you would also have to get new sensors and you wouldn't have a tach signal. If you have the tach cluster it should work but the boost guage wouldn't. You should get a wiring diagram for it to make sure that your year isn't different for some reason. The speedo wouldn't need any thing changed but you are speed limited to 108 on non turbo cars.
Yeah i know its been awhile since anything has been replied to by this but what i think were both tryin to say is that my car and his car both have speedos that only go up to 85, and the gaudges on that site go over 100 mph i forget what they go to exactly. And your saying we would have to worry about the speedo even though ours only goes to 85 and not 100 something? But everything else would work in my car atleast im just not sure about the speedo cause mine stops at 85 and not 120 or 130 like the one for sale on that site.

Thanks for all the help though!
Yeah I though you were talking about swapping the whole dash and not just the gauge backs. You would have to get a new prom burned for your speedo if you wanted to swap in the 120 gauges. They might just print the 85 mph speedo on it if you ask them.
If you look closely at your stock speedometer yes you will see that the gauge only goes up to 85mph, but I believe the companies that make these gauges are Canadian and they are using km/h not mph. If you look at your stock unit you will see the powder blue numbers under the big white ones and yeah you guessed it its the metric system. It even shows you km/h on the bottom.
