As far as I know, turbos for second gens have to be custom made.

you can get a GTP motor 3.1 that was a turbo. They are hard to find. Most people make there own set up.

turbochargers don't just bolt on You have to build up your internal parts, upgrade your fuel system, get custom manifolds etc etc. Personally I'd do an engine swap with an engine already set up for a turbo. Or just buy a turbo sunbird

Yeah, if you want to build a custom turbo set-up, the first thing you should do is strengthen up your engine. You need low compression pistons etc so when you put the turbo on you don't blow the whole motor and waste all that money.

Unless, like me, you live in a little sh*t town where its impossible to find anything other than a Dodge Ram for sale, you can probably find a donor car with a V6 or a turbo engine already in it, then you could swap it over. Considering the age of these cars, they shouldn't be that bad. I got my cav for $500. Just be sure to check anything out before you buy it... I didn't notice until about two weeks later that the bastard had rolled the odometer on mine back.

There are heaps of parts out there to go fast with.

You dont nessicarilly have to "build" the engine if you are intending to run a low boost turbo setup. Many people have done 7-10 PSi on stock internals for many miles.

The old TGP 3.1L engine was basically stock save for a bit lower compression ratio. @ 8.8:1 instead of stock 3.1L 8.9:1 (which is a good ratio for turbo charging to begin with anyways)

Best thing to do would be buy a 3.1L TGP Rear exhaust manifold, and get a custom X-over pipe made, as the TGP one does not fit with the stock Jbody trans mount in the way.

From there start doing some research and piecing it together.
If you are new to turbo's pick up Corkey Bell's "Maximum Boost" book. Good read for the beginner.
