question about 92 z24 tranny problem.

my 92 z24 with the 3 speed auto. well we swapped the tranny over to a new (but used) 3.1L cuz i blew the other one up, so i know the tranny should have no problems. but for some reason with this new motor. it doesn't want to shift until 5 grand. was wondering what would cause this. is it a sensor or what? if anyone has any info that would be great! thanks

I assume by 5 grand you mean 5000 rpm, did you check and adjust the TV cable after the swap?

yeah i mean 5000 rpms. and i will have to look tomorrow.
