Yeah, I was a little confused, worried, and scared when I received my Koni "red" box.  I quickly opened up the box.......

Actually.. my friend troll got his hands on the Koni Platinums. Not yet released from Koni. He has connections.. 
but that is just what he told me.. so i dunno.. he could be pulling my leg.. When he gets off work ill ask him and make sure he posts to confirm and also give a lil more info on em if so.
 
 
Koni Yellows come in Red boxes too. I just got yellows Monay in a red box.
Those sure look like yellows with the protective cap over the adjuster on top.

no they never did, those are still cut and inserted.  it looks like he just cut at the very tip of the knuckle

They are Koni Yellows, And no they DO NOT make a full replacement. They are inserts. I Just painted them Silver, b/c ... well yellow's ugly. Hahaha plus it goes w/ my calipur color. 
There was a joke when i sent them to some people (the pics) my room mate said look at that.. Koni Platniums.. 

 It's a new line of struts (being silver in color) so i was screwing w/ some people after i took the pics. LOL they're just plain ole koni yellers painted silver.

I'm FAR from a newb  lol.   They look like a full replacement because of how high he cut them.  Good way to fool people though 
 
 
your supposed to cut them high 38mm is where i cut em. 

 so i could grind another 2 mm off. lol for a flat surface. they turned out really nice and do look like a full replacement. Im pleased w/ em.
