yes u need one that rk makes for that hood
the GM strut brace from the convertables will work also
and it is very inexpensixe

Or you can notch the outlet like i did, but if you dont want to do that, than the vert ber works jsut fine.

Yeah, get the stock GM bar. And don't buy it from RK Sport unless you HAVE to get the chromed one. You're going to pay a big premium for nothing.

rk sport has 1 that is not GM's thay works with their hood , alan has it on his 02 cav

Thanks i looked it up... so would this brace (part # 22604347) for 47$ be the same one that RK sport makes for 123$ (at gravanna)? i'm looking for a solid piece brace unlike the ones that vibrant makes which just look flimsy. If my CC is mounted to the firewall will there be any fitment issues?
