whats better....

ok...i was pretty much set on buying a set of eibach sportlines for my 98z.
but now ive seen that a few ppl are claiming that the TEIN lowering springs are a 1.7" drop... (which if im not mistaken is acctually more of a drop then the sportlines) correct me if im wrong plz...

which spring is acctually better? in performance or ride quailty-doesnt matter... if you can provide pro's and cons of both that would be very appreciated...thanks alot!

Well I dont have any experiance with the sportlines on a cav. I have been running tein s techs on my koni yellows and I absolutley love them. You do get a 1.7 drop but that is only in the front. The rears are 1.5 i beleive the rears are lowwer in the rear that the fronts with the sportlines though. I dont know what kind of driving you do or if you ever take the car out to the track but my combo has worked great for me at auto x and i tend to be an agressive driver some times while on the street. My buddies think the ride is actually really good when I softn it up for our long trips to u of i and eastern.

one last thing. with the teins the front is sloped downward giving imo a more agressive stance where the sportlines drop the rear more like you have a body in the trunk.

I'm sure a member with the sportlines might chime in ........

performance and ride quality are going to depend on different struts. someone can have the prokit on stock struts and say they suck, where as someone with actual knowledge would have them on a set of agxs or dspecs and tell you that they ride great.

getting an opinion on this is going to be hard. basically those 2 springs are very well know springs from very respectable companies. if you match the springs w/ the right struts then they will both perform and ride great.

What the above posts said were true. I've ran the S.Techs on my cav and absolutely LOVE the way it rode and handled. I would have kept them on the car but the rear didnt sit low enough for me. I wasn't going for the extremem drop but I w/ the fronts as low as they were it made the rear look out of place.

I cant comment on the Sportlines as I have not used them.
