The inside of all 4 of my tires are worn to the point where the wire is showing. I recently changed them and im noticing the same thing is happening. My car is dropped on B&G Springs with 17" rims. Could the cause of my tire wear be my wheel bearings, tie rods, wheel alignment, or do I need a camber kit?
when it comes to boobs i need a girl with bad grades cause im tired of all the ones walking around with straight a's
well first thing , did you ever get it aligned after you lowered it ??
if not , then you need to get 1
when i lowered my cav , the toe went way out , when i did the g/f's hers was with in spec , but still a little
id start with getting the alignment checked out
Your alignment is way off. You don't need camber bolts unless you're dropped 2" or more.
I DONT HAVE CAMBER BOLTS AND I HAVE NO CAMBER PROBLEM AT ALL...AND IM DROPPED ON GOLD LINES
Thanx Charles
erm, hey buddy take caps off, and like siad if the gold lines are lower than 2" you MIGHT need camber bolts.
Jay: It's a camber problem, get an alignment.
Charles: Not everyone's car maintains their alignment through a drop. Yours may have, mine appears to have, but it looks like Jay's didn't. He needs an alignment. But thanks for your input.
o caps was cuz i was at work.....hahaha no biggie
Thanx Charles
No car will ever maintain the same alignment specs when lowered, ever (unless it has solid axles, but even then, caster might change), I don't care what anyone says or claims, its a fact. Anyone who lowers their car NEEDS to get it aligned. This also includes people who run coilovers and move them all the time, unless you get it back to exactly where it was before you moved it, which is pretty difficult to do.
anyone have anyidea why my car has 0.5 degree +ve camber on the front and this is the best they could align it after i said i wanted it as close to 0 or -0.1ish which is still in spec 94 cav lowered on canuck motorsports, does it maybe need the strut bolt holes ground out and cam bolts installed?
You shouldn't need the bolts holes filed. I know you can get at least -2 degrees without it. I've never seen any car ever
need cam bolts. Shops will use them because they want to save time instead of doing it right and filing out the struts. You would never use both, since they both do the same thing, and you could never get a -5* camber setting, the tire would hit the strut.
I say question the shop that did it and find out why they didn't give you what you wanted. Keep in mind its pretty difficult to get a 1/10* measurement. The range is maybe 1/2*, and thats by a good tech.
