I am going to be getting air ride from Airbagsource.com in a couple of weeks. (after the 15th so that I can see what the prices are going to do and I am also waiting to see what easystreets new kit is going to consist of.) I am going to be running the digital system. (I know, I have heard the horror stories about it. But, if Jason trust it enough to say that he would consider running it on the next car that he bags, then it can't be all bad.) What can I do to put some kind of "stopper" under my car to keep my body kit from getting smashed if something would happen and I would loose air on my car?
Another question I had was: on average, how low does the easystreet kit sit? Can a person drive around with the kit pancaked without tearing up my tires, or my body kit? I know I will at least have to role my front fenders. But, is there anything else that I can or should do when I install me air kit?
Has anybody received any solid info on what easystreet is changing on there new kits or what the pricing difference is going to be after the kits go up?
The new sturts are supposed to have better damping. So nobody really knows how it will ride and so forth yet.
I too, am going to be ordering the Easy Street kit with Auto Pilot. (F the haters)
As far as "stoppers" go. There are leveling kits (i think thats what they are called). Basically it hits there is a Arm that when it hits your set spot. Doesn't allow the car to go any lower.
The auto pilot may have a feature that lets you set the min. pressure allowed dump. So we'll see.
...
Dumping pressure wont mean anything if a line breaks though.
Thats what I am worried about..... Crushing my body kit if something fails. I don't want to crush my kit if a valve gives out or a line breaks.
You could always do a drag block setup and weld something under your car so in the matter something does fail, it will stop dropping once that reaches the ground.
i know with the digitial set up you can set up the lowest point(psi) that you want the car to go. this way when you want to slam it it will only go as low as the setting/psi you set it for.
im looking into getting the digitial air set up as well this month(tax return) from jason. that looks to be 3 of us wanting the auto pilot digitial set up. we should see about a G/P!?!?
- cotton 04 sedan (chris
- full cav effect (david
- will20four (will
im looking ito upgrading to the bigger tank (8.5), additional matching compressor, additional 10ft of hose, and mabe air horn for S(hits)&G(iggles)
I say GP for the new struts too!
Yeah, I am going to get auto pilot. Not only do the features kick ass, but the install looks so easy. No pain in the ass wiring to do for the switches. All plug and play harness
This sucks... going on 3 weeks waiting for the Federal Tax return check.... COME ON IRS!
...
Wiring switches isnt hard you just connect the switch box wire to the valve wire.
no its not hard. But its alot easier when all you have to do is connect a harness to the manifold. Then run one wire around threw the interior for everything. Instead of having wire for your switches, and air line for your gauges. Less chance of a leak.

All personal preference I guess...
sndsgood wrote:wait for the kit and see what happens with my car all the way down my kit doesnt touch the ground and the streetfire kit is a pretty low hanging kit.
That sounds like a problem to me...
Sounds like you need to get the cut off tool, and a welder, then start notching

Your opinion VS. Someone Else = ?
Just like SDWNDR2 said.... "All personal preference"
I think the Autopilot is worth it. Even if you don't like the system after you get it, it wouldn't cost much more to switch to a switch box. All you'd probably need is the switches. Which I'll probably add with my set up, and just run both. I don't see it messing anything up. You would just have to wire in before the brain to each valve, just like a basic set up. Only thing different would be the Manifold Valves, vs. Traditional independent vales.

I will be ordering all my air stuff on Friday!! Tires where ordered on Monday for my 18's! Everything is actually kind of coming together for once.
I guess I will find out if the digital setup is junk or not. I am hoping not. Like I said before... if Jason trust it then why shouldn't I as a cosumer stand behind him and trust his word.
I will just have to waite until I get all of my body kit mixed and matched and on the car before I will have to see if it will drag or not. For now I am going to be running an 02 LS rear lip and a set of oem sides. But not like REDECOCAV has on his red cavalier, even though his 4 dr is one of the insperations that made me really want to build my 4 door. ( I will try to find a different style of sides at the junk yard) But with any luck my kit will all be changing before the end of summer.
