Drift Kit Height Question
Sunday, February 11, 2007 1:52 PM
I am getting a Drift body kit put on my Cav and I was interested in buying a set of springs for it. My only concern was that I'd hit the bumpers everywhere I go. The Eibach kit I seen on ebay lowers the front and rear about 2" does anyone know the height of the car with a lowered suspension and stock?

i'll tell you right now 2" is wayy to low. Go with the Eibach Pro-Kit which is a 1.4 drop all the way around. That should give you about 4 inches clearance all the way around

those will work with proper shocks/struts but they def can still be bouncy, i dont see any spring rates either which i'm pretty sure they'd be high and also i've never heard of that company. I wouldn't suggest crapping out and trying to save money on something as important as your suspension. Pay the money for the brand name when it comes to something like this, and you'll be satisfied with Eibach Pro-Kit. If you want an opinion, talk to wootburger on here, he is droped on Tein H-Techs which is only over an inch drop i believe and his drift kit is also urethane which will take abuse much more easily than fiberglass will.

i wasn't sure if that was a good buy or not so thats why i asked. do you know of any places on the net that wont charge me an arm and a leg for the pro-kit or h-techs? i know get what you pay for but i just wanna save as much as i can.

read the sticky of the FAQ at the top of the page. Our stock struts can barely handle stock height, so upgrading when lowering whatever height is recommended. You CAN prolyl get away with stock struts for a few months, but they'll blow soon, so i'd recommend getting KYB AGX's, dont get KYB GR2's they're just stock replacement and wont help
