shock question
Tuesday, March 13, 2007 5:41 PM
I recentally aquired a set of RK Sport / Ground Control coilover and I was wanting to install them on my other car. I was wanting to know what would be the best struts to use for about a 2 - 2 1/2 in lowing. This car is not performance driven what so ever and I am more interested in keeping the smoothest ride possible. This car is still daily driven although not for much longer. Thanks for all your input.

please read the faqs. koni yellows or tokico dspecs are the only option for doing it right

Your options are pretty limited if you want the "best" struts for that drop, since there are only a couple of choices that will handle the limited suspension travel properly. Those are the Koni "yellow" sport struts, and Tokico D-Specs. Both can be adjusted to a softer and smoother ride, though dampening a lowered vehicle is more of a challenge for any shock. Too soft over big bumps, and you'll be bouncing off the bump stops.
