Got my new strut bar. I love the new feel. Amazing.

Fedex dropped off my new strut bar yesterday afternoon. Once I recieved it I installed it immediately, lol. It took me about 10 minutes or so and was very easy. Once it was installed I took the Cavalier out for new testing. I discovered that now during hard turns and cornering, the car handles WAY better now. It is very amazing how something so simple can make such a difference. It makes me happy to know I won't get slammed into my door as much while making hard right turns. Ok, enough talk, on with installed pics. BTW, this is a ebay bar and it fit perfectly with no modifications.

I wonder, a lot of people said that regular strut bars on 03+ Cavaliers/Sunfires needed modification to make the strut bar fit properly. I had none of these issues. The cruise and stuff did not get in my way at all.

from what ive heard those cheap ebay bars dont do jack. too flimsy. you need a beefy bar that is actually ridgid

From what I've heard, they're all the same and about equally effective.

We must listen to different people.

yeah i dont get that either... my ebay (megan racing) front bar was $26.00 shipped and it works excellent, i noticed a very big change in the handling as well as the steering feel. i honestly dont see how they can sell them so cheap!!!

maybe the ppl saying they are junk are the ppl who dont know how to adjust them?

if you think a strut bar makes a difference, get yourself some nice struts, or swaybars, then you'll notice a real difference and get gleefully slammed into the door again.

As far as strut bars go... as long as it keeps the strut towers the same distance apart at all times thats all that matters. If the bar easily flexes a LOT as in an inch or so it is too flimsy and will not be very effective if at all. Its entire purpose is to keep the strut towers moving in towards each other and out away from each other.

interesting statemtent to put after he just said he installed it and noticed a big difference right away.

the post wasn't a "hey, how will this work", it was a "hey, I installed this and it works great".

Granted, but essentially this is a butt dyno (lateral acceleration), and they don't always tell the truth. I have both front and rear strut bars, and they individually felt like they tightened up the steering, but I have no proof...For all I know, it could be psychosomatic.

But to the original poster (Eternalone), good to hear you like the purchase... and I have the exact same strut bar

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.

^ I know I'm late on catching up to this thread, but thanks man. Like I said before, this bar has made "me" a big difference. I will never go back. It is not flimsy at all and is continuing to hold up good. I might just grab a rear one now. Who knows.

Also, thanks for all the C&C everyone.

Definately install a rear bar too. I noticed a nice difference after installing my rear strut tower bar. Really made the car feel more rigid, and the handeling is more consistant than before.

From the looks of it, I got the same bars too, front and rear. And they ain't flimsy, solid pieces of aluminum. Made a great difference, seemed to reduce that feeling of being rolled into the door whenever I turned. And It's nice when you can adjust them to preference.
