These rotors are gold cadium plated, the coating wears off where the brake pad rides, but it stays gold where the pads dont rub right?>

Yes Sir, where ever the pads do not wear, the plating will stay on the rotors and will help prevent rust.

yes, but that coating will not last forever. after about a year, it'll have worn off.

Unless you really need to loose the weight. (dedicated track cars apply here) Your better off getting slotted rotors instead of drilled. You still get the heat performance but you lower the chance of developing cracks.

thanks for the info, is there anywhere i can find these at relatively lower prices than i have already found?
