If you're going to be that far into it, get a poly insert for the top engine mount (or this variety if you're rockin the ecotec, don't have to buy it at Gravana, just an example), and poly inserts for the tranny mounts.

I also recommend polyurethane control arm bushings for the front since you'll have it almost that far apart anyway.

Stainless braided brake hoses are an amazing upgrade to your brakes also (no more squishy pedal!)

Other than that, you're looking good with that shopping list

Why don't you do some brake work, what kind of rotors do you have on?

I've never driven a J with a big brake kit, but here is what I HAVE done (roughly in order):

EBC Slotted/Dimpled rotors with EBC Greenstuff pads

When they wore out:

Stainless Braided hoses (single best thing I did for the brakes) AND Powerslot rotors with Hawk HPS pads (Gravana Tuning special at the time, Still is apparently, sweet)

The Powerslot/Hawk combo was probably the nicer rotor/pad combo, and the stainless braided hoses were awesome. I Autocrossed my J regularly, and never had the brakes fade with the powerslot/hawk combo, and the stainless hoses added a great degree of control and confidence (stiffest brake pedal I've ever felt in a GM product that wasn't broken).

I would have to say that the biggest benefit I can see with a big brake upgrade is going to be longevity. With Autocross, I would eat a set of rotors and pads in about a year. They would get really hot while racing (duh?) and develop hairline cracks as they aged. The cracks in the EBC rotors got progressively worse, and would have been a safety issue if I didn't replace them when I did, but the pad were worn out at the same time, so no biggie. They never warped on me, but I couldn't never get more than one set of pad's worth of use out of a set of rotors like that as well.

The Powerslot/Hawk setup remained very quiet, where the Greenstuff would squeal at high temps. (Greenstuff never faded either, but it was particularly rough on the rotors)

Before you go throwing money into brakes, motor mounts, and all that jazz, I'd recommend checking/replacing your ball joints and tie-rods.

The suspension setup you had prior to this one may have taken a toll on those two parts in particular. If you do find that you need to change these out, spend the extra $35 and get the polyurethane control arm bushings from Karo for $35.

i would bet that my old suspension destroyed my parts

thats why i am asking
what are the parts called and part numbers

i work for a auto restyler and could possibly get great prices

i just bought my teins with edfc for an amazing price
i saved alot of money going through my company

thank you for all the help

i think i might do the powerslots/hawk ss break lines since
i get them for under $250 installed

george

ps i just want to make sure everything is pretty much perfect !

I didn't think about worn parts, I guess I kind of assumed (ASS of U and ME) that any broken or worn parts would get replaced as a matter of course. :p

Honestly, the J-car is popular enough that you can get most of the standard parts at your favorite auto parts store.

www.partsamerica.com (Advance Auto, Checker Auto parts, Schucks, Kragen and Murrays) carries McQuay Norris and Moog ball joints for the J. I have McQuay Norris all over my Fiero, and they're fine parts.

McQuay Norris

Moog $$$

Tie Rod end

You get the idea

of the suspension

i want to do everything the correct way
because ive had it the wrong way and it was not worth it

any other parts i should look in to

so far theres

tie rod ends (2)
ball joints (2)
poly control arm bushings
