alright guys today i went out to pick up my new rear bumper and lip and my brakes felt weird it seemed as if i had to push more on the pedal to get them to start braking. the pedal goes down farther now before it starts braking, the thing is sometimes it goes baack to how it before with the nice solid feel to it, can anyone help me as to wat might be the problem?
Flush (bleed) the entire braking system. Somehow air or excess water got into it. Get at least 3 containers of new brake fluid and bleed the rear passenger cylinder until CLEAN fluid issues forth, continually topping off the master cylinder, then do the rear driver, front passenger, and finally front driver, all until CLEAN fluid comes out. By then, all the fluid in the system SHOULD be new and clean. Its best to do this immediately after replacing the front pads, because if you do this while they are fairly worn, when you DO install new pads, you will likely have too much fluid in the master and it will overflow when you put the new pads in. You can avoid that by using a turkey baster (brand new, never to be used at Thanksgiving) to remove a small amount of fluid from the master cylinder. Once the pads are replaced, pour FRESH brake fluid into the master until its at the proper level amd reinstall the cap.
cool thanks much man i thought it might have been that! gracias!
