I have a question for the guys who really know their suspension stuff. I bought a set of KYB AGXs off a guy who had been using them with sportline springs. I know that you shouldnt do this but I was getting a deal so I took it. I am planning on putting on Pro Kit. Well I go to pick them up and everything seems in order with the rest of the purchase and I put them in my car and take them home. Well when I get take one of them out of my car it starts leaking green fluid on my. I am not too happy i figure it is the hydraulic fluid and that the shock is blown. I shock and tried like hell to get the other three to leak but no such luck. So my question is what can I do I figure I have to buy a new rear shock and put everyhting on and wait for the other to blow and replace them, or is there a way I can put new hydraulic fluid back in the shock.? Any help and opinion is welcome and appreciated. Thank You
Once blown they can't be refilled.
KYBs have a lifetime warranty. All you need is the receipt. And..... shock fluid isn't green.
well then I what should I do. Should I put the shocks on and test if they are blown or is there a way for me to test for them to be blown without mounting them? Another question should I get a camber kit for this to readjust my camber or should I be alright?
Well, I don't know about the shock stuff, but as for the camber kit, if I am correct, it's a waist of money. If your dropping on Eibach pro-line springs, then you should have nothing to worry about camber wise. Camber is for Honda's who want to drive on their side. a 1.5" drop, even down to about a 2" drop, your camber will be fine. Its when you drop on springs about 2.5 or lower that you need to worry about that. And then you have to worry about strut mounting and stuff like that too...
