I'm new to the whole dropping scene, and i've been trying to read around the forums and i'm just still not quite sure...
I'm riding 18's on 225/40/18 on my 2004 Sunfire. I took out my spare tire, and am deleting the rear seat to put put a custom enclosure back there for speakers/subs and what not, to give you the idea of how much weight i'm looking at.
So, with price being only slightly an issue (i'm not gonna cheap out for crap...) Whats a good, SAFE drop combination, springs and struts. I just want a better ride, and to get rid of all my wheel gap. I"m hoping some of the experts and exeperienced "droppers" around here could lend a quick helping hand. I know something like this has been asked before, but bear (sp?) with me please?
well how low do you want to go? that will determine your price. anything past the 1.5" mark is a big price increase. if your looking for a slightly mild drop get the eibach prokit and kyb agx struts. perfect together and very popular. the drop is a 1.4" drop. theres someone actually selling this setup in the classifeds for 400 i believe.
or get the tokico HPK kit. comes with Tokico springs and tokico blue struts. its 1.4 or 1.5", i cant remember. everything is matched to operate together and under full warranty too. only difference is really that the AGX are adjustable struts. you can search for info on the tokico setup, someone installed it a few months ago and posted up great pics and info.

For just a basic drop, you can get the Eibach Prokit springs and some KYB struts.
This combination won't get you broke but will drop the car enough to make the car look good while keeping the car riding pretty good.
I'm extremely happy with this setup and this will do until I get my TeinSS setup or KW's.
Here's a picture of the drop on my car so that you can see what it looks like.

Thank you Dave and JBO!

I would agree that the KYB AGX / ProKit setup is the best for a mild drop ( from what I've read ) and it's what I plan on doing as soon as I get my tax refund back...
Well I just ordered my AGX's...now I need to get the Pro-Kit...
Can't wait to get my car dropped...
