Hello all.
I recently just installed a VIS drifter kit on my car, only to find that the kit's so big, I can't go over anything due to a 2" clearance.
I have koni yellows with grouncontrol red springs and sleeves.
I want to raise it, but will it be enough?? Does anyone know what the original drop is on that system??
Please help me! i'm super desperate! I just got my car back and one of the side skirt is already scraped so bad the fibreglass's showing and cracking =(
Taking the kit off's not an option 'cuz it's molded on. But I'm even up for getting new springs, however, with KONI yellows, is it even possible?!?!?!
why dont you just ajustr the coilovers ..
you have to learn how to drive a lowered car with a kit. the drift kit is the lowest kit you can get for our cars. your gonna have to start approaching things on angles and going over bumps on angles to avoid scraping the kit
Well to be honest you need to learn how to drive the car that low. You will find out fast where you can can't go. If you remember to do one wheel at a time over things it really helps. Everyone just loves me when I go across 3 lanes to get out of parking lots that are a little tight. It really helps that I can 3 wheel with my sway bars cause otherwise I dont' think I could get out of some places without them. I even head towards traffic if it is slow coming to get out in time. Just take it slow and don't pull up all the way into parking spots.
1. adjust the coilovers
2. you should have bought urethane
3. youre also gonna regret molding the bodykit. its going to crack.
4. like everyone else said.....learn to drive a lowered car
I had a big issues with the Ground Control coilovers when I first installed them. As you'll see in my mod list, I ended up replacing all the springs with a new set, all 1" taller than what the kit came with.
I recommended this to others here as well.
I found that the highest they would go was still too low for me, while they could go far lower than was drivable.
I recommend the same for you now. The specs are in my registry if you want to order them. Probably cost around $200.
