Planning on geting Auto Pilot Digital system from easystreet, but not sure if to go with 1/4 or 1/2 airlines?
Wondering who has had both and what are the pros and cons of each.
thanks for any advice.
My auto pilot system came with 1/2 fittings to run 1/2 line. My car raises and drops quickly. If you use 1/4 line your car is gonna raise and drop like a snail. 3/8 line would be a nice happy medium, but i believe you would have to buy all new fittings.
How hard is it to fine tune being so fast. Is their a way to slow the system down if needed to. I know it comes with a few buttons you can set your heights, just wondering if it is hard to hit a specific PSI cuz it drops or raises fast.
the 1/4 lines will allow you to fine tune your ride height more easily. if your running a bodykit 1/2 may put the car down to quick and damage the kit in certain possible parking areas you may come across. like tinkes said 3/8 is a happy medium. only gonna cost a few extra bucks at lowes/ home depo to swap fitting.
you can also put things on the valves to slow the drop.
But i would recomend you stay with the 1/2" line. then put some difusers (sp?) on the valves to slow it, and keep the noise down.
Actually the best place to get fittings and airline from is a tractor trailer garage(if you want to look locally). If your looking online then Suicidedoors.com is the place to go.
Compression fittings are uglier, but provide a better seal then the crappy push fittings.
I think i'm convinced 1/2 inch it is . After all I think it will be a lot cheaper to down grade to 1/4 if I choose to. I will probably just try to install some diffuser like John said to go down slow becuz I do have a body kit on. Does $1300 for the kit sound reasonable?
whats all included?? is it just the auto system or does it have tank? bags? comp? anthing other then the system cause the company sell it new for round 750.
It's the complete kit minus the bags(Air-Over-Struts).
I See that easystreet has it just shy of $1700.
I had a complete system installed with 10switch box, but no gauges.
I got tired of my tires wearing uneven due to diferent stance ( not knowing what psi i was riding at, just whatever felt right)
I figured a set preset for driving will help with the alingment.
Thats why I started looking into digital systems.
I picked up my easystreet kit and digital controller for $2000.
i know where to get an autopilot a lot cheaper than that.
hit me up if you are interested.
