Hello, I'm in the process of replacing/rebuilding my front suspension. My cavy has 170k on it right now and since I have the Monte now, I kinda what to treat this has a project car. My question is what would you guys recommend, just replace everything or just the strut and springs. I'm planning on coilovers, but where I live I can't drop too low because the roads are crap around here. I have the money for the Tokico D-Spec Struts and coilovers right now, but I'm wondering if I should just keep saving and replace everything? Has anyone just put the struts and coilovers on a car with 160k and have no problems? I have a engine waiting for me at a junkyard also, so this might be a fun little project

Ebay warrants a kick in the nuts.

lol Don't worry I've heard about the infamous ebay coilovers and would'nt put that on my cavy.. I'm still undecided on the coilovers. I've also been looking at the Tein Dampers Type basic system, like I said I'm still undecided. The Tein system looks a little more promising, since it has both struts and springs. Anyone have a idea or have had they entire suspension done over? How much did it cost?

whatever you do, be sure to upgrade the a-arm bushings.
one of the best upgrades suspension wise for these cars
also upgrade the front sway bar with an addco unit (comes with upgraded endlinks as well)
sway bars go hand in hand with coilovers for a pretty decent handling ride.
Between Addco and Eibach, Addco is typically accepted as the more neutral balance of the two.. Eibach still has some amount of push/ understeer.

Where did you buy the Addco front sway bar, I was looking around and can only find Eibach sway bars, also whats the best a-arm bushing kit to buy?
Thanks for your info. Anyone else that has worked on their suspension got there own 0.02¢ on this?

And after you do the suspension, get the only thing that meets the road, a good set of summer tires. All the suspension work and all-season tires of any kind, is like shooting your self on the foot.
