Are there any significant differences between the Sunfire GT of Cavalier Z24 suspension and that on Cavalier ls sedan/ Thanks
As far as I know there was the FE0, FE1 and FE2 packages which were the same across all 3rd gen J-Bodies.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
There isn't any noticable differences and nothing that would be considered an "upgrade".

its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa
Except for the models with no swaybar lol.

Amen. Nothing like almost rolling over cornering at 12 mph.

i think 99 is when gm got cheap, my friends base model didnt have a sway bar or a glove box light lol. My 96 base had that and more lol. Both were grey bumper specials.

The S/F and Cavs had the same suspension components from 95-to 02, the tuning changed in 03 for the Cavs, while the Sunfire stayed the same.
ALL had the same springs, architecture, shocks, brakes.
Look for your production code list and if it says:
FE0: No front sway bars, Economical all-season tires.
FE1: Front sway bar, Touring all season tires.
FE2: Front and rear sway bars, Performance all-season tires, 16'' wheels.
According to GM...
95-02 Cavalier & 95-05 Sunfires:
FE1: 18mm front sway bar.
FE2: 22mm front sway bar, 18mm rear sway bar.
03-05 Cavalier:
FE1: 19mm front sway bar.
FE2: 24mm front sway bar, 19mm rear sway bar.
Now on 95-00 J convertibles they carried a front tower brace too.

Fe2 cars don't really have a true sway bar, the trailing ARM has a welded in stiffening bar.
"Oil Leak ? What oil Leak ? Oh, Thats Just The Sweat From All The HorsePower!!"
and droptops have smaller front sway bars lol... then a regular z24 coupe

It is a sway/stabilizer bar. The End.
