so this doesnt happen often to me, but occasionly since i have replaced my brakes if i run over 90 mph and come to a quick stop my brakes smoke like crazy, and what i was wondering what type of rotors (brand/drilled/slotted) are people running and what type of pads and if you guys are having any luck with them. and yes, i know 90 - 0 quickly is a fast stop and will heat brakes up but not as bad as mine have been
Hawk HPS pads work well, any slotted rotor will should do the trick, grab some powerslots

stop driving over the speed limit on public roads and this won't be an issue.

YOu can overheat the brakes and not be over the speed limit.
Upgrade your brake fluid and do a flush of the system. I need to do mine.

I have parts store brand pads and rotors for the moment and yet they get cooked and smell like brakes after 1 hard 100-0 stop, BUT have never smoked. I plan on running parts store rotors and carbotech pads once it comes time to replace them.
