Hmm, which hawk pads? I've always heard oh HP+ dusting hard and eating rotors, and they they dont have a non-corrosive compound.

On the TTR they are called this "HAWK Front Ferro Carbon Disc Brake Pads Cavalier/Sunfire 1995-05". I haven't had any problems with my pads or rotors and this will be year number 4 on them and still lots of life left.

In the end I just went with Napa's Ultra Premium Ceramic Pads and their premium rotors.

I would suggest Brembo brake pads for better bite. I have been using them for a long time now and I am so satisfied by the performance of these brakes. They are so reliable in all weather conditions and doesn’t cost very much.
