I was wondering does brake cleaner mess up Chromed Rims if accidently sprayed on while spraying on brakes w/out wheels off???

I'm pretty sure brake cleaner is magic and doesn't damage anything but dirt.

Actually... I have no idea since I don't have chrome wheels. I use it to spray the hell out of my coilovers every time I adjust them though just to ensure no dirt gets caught in the threads. It's wonderful stuff.

I agree with WW brake cleaner is awesome stuff! and as far as i know you should be safe, i was told by my mechanic that it really only affects grease and i have used it to get grease out of my clothes a few times and no discoloring or damage, i'd say go to a junk yard and try it on a old bumper on a car or something before trying on rims tho
