How disapointing. After 3 months of quiet, I see that you posted. I was hoping for new pics.

Well we are finally under way with getting this swap complete got the lengths of the axles roughly mapped out. The compact pulley drive system doctored to accommodate headlight clearance and to get enough friction on our water pump pulley. A/C compressor deleted and alternator relocated to where A/C pulley was with custom bracket. Everything is just rough fitted, and when u just dont have a bolt u use a long one with washers lol.

what the pulley system started out as

modifications

alternator relocation

wiring is sooo close to being done! just a few more connections to be made! but harness is thru the firewall and in the car, obviously nothing is fastened down yet. closer and closer!

tucked engine harness with the ecu, fuse block and tcm relocated to inside the cab

interior harness trimmed down

This is awesome. Been watching this build for awhile. It's funny how many thrash jbody yet some people can do things like this with them.

Great job!! You are very patient and talented!

Such a delight to see female gear heads showing off their talent. I see more and more each time I visit the local self pick - salvage yard pulling their own parts. No doubt you and your Dad are making some happy memories along with this creation! From what I've see ole Dad must be in a more helpful , supervisory role as it looks like you are deep into the hands on.

Congrats on the milestone startup!! It looks like just the wiring was a major puzzle to put together. I guess you'll have to use the donor dash and instrument cluster to get the electronics to work with the gauges. 1997 wasn't as technically daring as the LS4 era. 2006+. Please keep updates flowing. I sure wish I had you expertise!!

I hope other women visit here and see your accomplishment and are inspired to see what they can achieve themselves!

I second that motion !
nice to see such hard work, devotion and passion
it will mostly go unnoticed being in a cav
but sometimes its nice to step out of the mold
and at least its not a 4 door like most kids proudly drive around with!!!
I have been in the car passion for over 30 years
I love muscle cars and sports cars
any 4 door is a taxi to me !
but it doesn't stop me from appreciating hard work
and you get my hats up for yours
ciao

Looks like they stopped posting on here and only post to a FB page they made now. And apparently still haven't done a 1/4 mile yet.
