Thoughts on Audiobahn

What are some of your thoughts on Audiobahn? I've seen a couple of people say that they are complete crap and others that really like the brand. I like them I had an AW1200q and it sounded real nice nothing like ground pounding , but very decent . Why do some people hate on them so much? opinions?

a guy i know has an audiobahn sub...i'm not sure what model but it is an aluminum cone 12" with a pretty big rubber surround...he has it in a vented box powered by a 100d from clarion and it hits pretty damn hard!..and he only has one

some people (like me) don't like the brand, mostly because they focus more on SPL than SQL. For those of you who don't know what that is, it means they focus more on making the subs pound like hell than making the subs sound good and balanced. But the amps are kickass, almost always underrated.

It comes down to the same thing as anything else, a lot of times. OPINION. I run them, always have and will. But I know others, regardless of how mine perform compared to theirs, they'll always tell me that mine are junk (usually while covering their ears lol). But it all comes down to what YOU want, and like.

As i said I also bought an audiobahn sub and was impressed with it and thought to myself "why do people bash them so much" but I'll probably buy audiobahn again.

I like to go by the 80/20 rule. The way anything sounds is 80% install, 20% product. A lot of people that I've seen pass judgement on a product or brand without any personal experiance. I've done it before. If you're happy with Audiobahn, more power to ya.

yah i hope my AW1000Q's 10 sound good they are definitely a step-up from my clarions the pioneers i had well just were too much power drawing fomr my car, ididnt need a set-up like that quite yet, i like my Rockford amp to much so i got rid of my clif designs amp as well, but what i heard of audibahn has been nothing but good, cept the install in the tibby sounded like crap, just too much crap in the way

Not sure about their subs, but I have a Cerwin Vega sub that is a great SPL/SQ combo with only 200RMS from an Audiobahn amp. I can vouche for their amplifiers as someone posted above, they definately don't mess around with the power.

Don't get fooled by the flashy looks. A lot of the time people think they are just a brand that gets carried away with chrome flames. But I think that the entire company is on the upswing with regards to actual performance. Even Crutchfield is beginning to sell their products.
