6.5's make the car Die?
Thursday, May 12, 2005 4:47 PM
Alright so I don't think I'm complaining, or trying to boast, Just wanted to know if anyone else noticed that when they put in Kickpanels (94z24) that it makes the car Sound and feel funny.... the radio sounds great, but when I down shift, I can feel the floorboards vibrate, and have a hard time distinguishing the speaker vibrations in the floor board from the engine noise...every so often I have to turn the radio down to see if the engine is running rough, or if it was just the speakers...

Sorry for wasting anyones time, just wanted to know if I was the only one that had to relearn there car after a stereo upgrade?

if your floor is vibrating that much i'd be worried about your feet going thru the floor.

are your kicnpanesl securely mounted?

there screwed to the edge where the Trim goes, Should I mount them at another point too? I didn't have any other mounting points....maybe i should try to enclose the back of the speaker? I have some baffels....There the kicks from Q-logic/Q-form for second gens.

so the floor only vibrates when the radio is turned up loud? doesn't vibrate at all during normal driving with no music?

I can still feel the engine, but it doesn't vibrate much at all when there is no music.
