Just wondering if anyone has any idea why my amplifier cuts out when i turn up the volume in my cavailer? I know It's not the amplifier because ive tested it in my friend car and it doesn't cut out. then when i try in my car it cuts out when It should be pounding.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

How are your subs wired? What ohm load is the amp getting?

I had this same exact problem. Is yours a dual voice coil? cause that is what was wrong with mine i only had hooked up one voice coil.

Also, what kinda wiring are you using for power and ground? Are they the same gauge as your friend's?

Input voltage? Maybe your gains are up too high, pushing your amp into overload protection. Is your buddies deck the same as yours? What's the manufacturer state is the output voltage on the deck?

I may not know much about cars, but I know two things....
1) Breaking things is expensive, and
2) Horsepower isn't cheap.

mine does this tool.....but as soon as i back of the volume about 2 points it comes back on... i was thinking my electrical system couldnt feed it fast enough at that power level. my speaker is wired 2 ohms to a 2ohm stable amp
