I have a 98 Z24, and a few weeks ago the drivers side power window suddenly stopped working. The passenger seems to be slowing down as I know they usually do when they are dying, but the drivers side went from working perfect to not moving at all. When I hit the switch to put the window up I hear that usual clicking noise that it makes when a window is up all the way, but when I go to put it down I do not hear anything happening at all. I'm thinking this is probably just a bad motor, but before I go and buy one and rip everything apart I just wanted to check and see if anyone here could give me a little more info on if theres anything else it could be or if its pretty much just that.
Thanks
ur switch might have melted inside like mine did. it didnt click anymore because the internals that allow the metal to complete the connection melted.

bad motor, possibly a bad switch, but more likely a bad motor.
GO PATS!!!
ok thanks...so what should I do from here? Just buy a motor off of ebay, take the door panel off and then replace it?
take the door panel off and hook an external power source to the motor to see if the motor is working or not. that'll tell you if its a bad switch or a bad motor.
after that, search around and there's a few threads that have told/shown how to replace the window motor. i'll warn you now that its an extremely large pain in the butt to do.
GO PATS!!!
this might sound stupied, but, i had the same problem with me windows they went down slow or didnt go down at all... i took my fuse out and checked it, then i put it back in and it works prefect now... so yea really werid.
