This is what i have for the 2000 sunfire wiring below. Constant and ground was easy to find but i cant seem to find any yellow for the switches. I even tried testing all the wires and nothing. Am i missing something here? Does the stock radio NOT have a switches connection? Am I going to need to find it for myself?

whats a switches connection??
-Seth

meaning a connection to the ACC when you turn your ignition in the on position

O, a switched connection.
Ya, it comes off the ignition somewhere but i'm not too sure.
I was just lookin at the wiring diagrams and I couldn't find it.
If you search, I'm almost positive it's been talked about before.

i think it's actually red. and if you cant find it and your factory HU has an amp in the trunk just use the pink. its a remote turn on for the amp. thats what i did. easiest thing to do would be to use a voltmeter and check all the wires.

There is no accessory power in the harness for a 2000 J body, you will have to get it from the ignition column. Or I suppose you could be lazy and go to the fuse panel.

not saying its lazy or n e thing but when i get my pioneers thats the way i did u it who goes looking in ur fuse panel to see if thats where u got the power from lol just do it that way and save ur self some time

go to the auto store and get a product called add-a-circuit. remove your windshield wiper fuse and install this in its place. install the original fuse in the bottom socket and a 5 amp fuse (comes with the product) in the top location. then run a wire from the add-a-circuit to the switched connection on your HU.
