An absolute pleasure to do business with and then some.

I bought an 11kv.2 to see if I was going to be running 3 ed 10's in my new toyota matrix, and the one that was sent to me was makin some weird sounds. So I got on the phone, they walked me through my setup and everything was ok there, so I got an RMA and sent it back. After it got back to them I had the new sub within a week. I couldn't have asked for anything more than that.

Anyone who is looking for a sql oriented sub more towards the sq side of things you have to try them, especially for 65 bucks forum pricing. These babies have some output for 1 ten. Right now I have it sittin in a .75 cube box with only 200 watts rms going to it and it gets really loud and hits super low. For those of you that are into that kinda thing you can hear it from about a block away, not to shabby for one of them, can't wait to hear 3. Crossed over at 75hz it stays up front where it should be and blends well with my mbquart/cdt frontstage.

If nothing else at least check out the website at www.edesignaudio.com and look at the excursion videos, you'll see how much air they can move and then you can get one and hear the sound quality for yourself. Low FS on them (around 25hz) and Q optimized for tiny boxes, and still maintaining efficiency is a hard task, but somehow ED pulled it off, I just cant say enough about these things. The OV line must be amazing.

The driver was actually making a knocking noise that shouldnt have passed QC. We had a new guy start working in the warehouse, and I think it might have been pulled off the QC reject pile. He knows the difference now.

ive been reading more and more about alex, and eD...and more and more im grossely impressed!! alex, do you have any real world SPL results?? like people's setups and the results that came from it? your stuff seems REALLY Cheap to me...it just seems too good to be true!!! i plan on buying a set of eD subs and an amp from you guys with tax refund money to replace my old infinity kappas that had too low of an RMS wattage. maybe shoot me an email if you dont wanna post people's @!#$ privately, its all good...

19Ov.2 wasnt tested for average and peak SPL as we get rid of the test vehicle before we had a chance to get some numbers.

Can you put up higher numbers? HELL yes you can.

We have a customer putting up 148.9 on an AC-190 with 2 11ov2s and a nine.1 in a high tuned vented enclosure.

The kv2 and ov2 drivers and made to be efficient. They dont need much power and get pretty loud.

For those of you looking to dump 1000 watts or more on a driver other than the 16ov2 or 19ov2, we are looking to have our 13av2 released hopefully by Christmas or a little after.

We make up profit in sheer volume, if we can pass a savings on to our customers, we do. Take the edi 6500s for example. Started at $350. 2 Years later and you can have them for $185 with the forum discount.

Some dude just hit 145 db's with 4 of ed's EU700's which are 6.5's, so think about that lundis! hehe just tryin to make your even more grossly impressed and shoot some numbers at you like you were wanting. 145db's with 4 6.5's from the trunk of a saturn....... that's some hot @!#$ right there.

Check out icixsound.com they have an ed forum there and I am sure a lot of people post up numbers of what they are hittin with ed products.

That is correct Skyler, Its Rick Keeney of Atlanta, GA. With 4 eu-700 Drivers and 2 nine.1s he did a 145. Took second place at iasca world finals in stock 1. Lost by 2 db, but still a feat in its own. With a different vehicle. a 147 was possible.

I was impressed with the Edead V1 material, although very thin, The stuff can be layered up to 5 times or more and still be cheaper then Dynamat, Clean product to work with, no smell, and next to no black adhesive left on my hands. To top it off and what was my favourite part about using it was the fact that the aluminum layer did not cut my fingers to hell like other products do.

It peeled easy
It stuck well
It layered well
It is dirt Cheap
It never cut me up
It sliced easily and made no gunky mess of my blade and scissors.

For a deadening Product, I would give it a 9/10. The only drawback being that you have to layer it on quite a bit in order to acheive certain goals, which means more labour.

what is your test vehicle. and what is the determining factor for mic placement was it db drag style placement or kick panel?

All I know is for SQ subwoofer's, they pound. My 13Ov.2s hit so hard and they sound great! And they were at my door in like 2 days. I'm very pleased with my experieces with eD.

ok...im f*ckin SOLD...do you guys make your own amps, or are they a re-label job? i cant imagine so based on the pricing. is that all in-house too, or is that outsource? sorry to be nosy, but i still just cant help this nagging feeling of it being too good to be true. you know this country...everything always sounds too good to be true..and it never is!

03' VW GTi dbdrag mic placement., but with no one in the vehicle. We did not depend on the vehicles electrical system. It was a pro audio amp outside the vehicle.

But like I said. The boxes are far from SPL output boxes.

Read the FAQ page I posted. It talks about where the products are made.

As for the amps being re-labelled. Its far from that. If you read sound domain or sound illusions.net they will tell you that the amps are rebadged tsunami or avionixx amps. People are going off of assumptions. Because the amps use the same cases, which is an Open Tool. Jl audio or Kicker could use the case if they wanted too. If you check out the internals on ROE's Amp Guts. You can see they are nothing alike. The amps are engineered and assembled in our facilitys with our partners.

Glad to see you are happy with the V1. The V1 is our 45 mil thickness and the SE2 is our 60 mil thickness. The SE2 is noticably thicker. But like you said, layer up and your good. Most sound deadening is more effective in multiple layers over one thick layer.

We use a thin mylar backing instead of a thick aluminum backing. This does a couple things. It adheres to the butyl based rubber better. It doesnt cut your hands, like you said, which is a plus. and with a 1-2 mil mylar backing, you then get 59-58mils of mass layer.When buying an aluminum backing deadener with say 10 mils of aluminum, then you are only getting say 50 mils of deadener. The mylar backing is much more cost effective.

If you dont want to do as much layers, I would suggest the SE2 or even eDead V3, our paint on deadener.

Alex is awesome. I know how car audio works, but not sure on box setup, best setup for SQ, etc. after reading this thread, I decided to go with eD when I start upgrading my audio. I'm been chatting with Alex in PM's, and he's totally answered all my questions, and recommended the best route to go for my setup.
