possible fix for key fob
Saturday, November 10, 2012 1:21 PM
I just fixed my keep fob for cheap and thought I would share in hopes it might help out others. mine was intermittent, trunk and panic buttons did not work at all. I opened it up and found that the spring for the battery was bent out of place just a hair, so I bent it back into position carefully, that got the door open and close working all the time, still no trunk or panic. opened it up again and noticed that there was a residue of grease between the buttons, I put some di-electric grease in the hollows of the buttons and cleaned up any excess I got between the buttons. put it all back together, and it all works now. no new key fob or programming. I got the di-electric grease at the auto store in one of those little packets.
