alarm/ door popper integration question

1. Would making the solenoids work with an alarm as easy as using the door lock output to trigger it?

2. If so would I then just use the existing wires for the power locks to the solenoids and forgo getting a "kit" (just the poppers so in theory I'm not paying for stuff I don't need)

I have been looking at the Excalibur 2050 and Electric Life or Spal solenoids.

I had the auto loc 35lb? Solenoids on my daily when I got it. They didn't last more then a month. I would not recommend them. I found the spal 60lb solenoids on eBay for 10$ each! (Regular 60$) so I bought 8 of them. Lmfao I have had them in my daily for 2 years and have not had a single problem yet. I very frequently get into my car ( about 10 times a day or more.) and since I have gotten the spal solenoids, I have burned up 2 compustar alarm modules. That's right my alarm system had outlasted my solenoids. I could not recommend compustar either, it's outdated, I have heard good things about viper.
