Cobalt Radio Swap To Cavalier
Saturday, October 19, 2013 7:42 AM
I searched the forum and didn't find anything completely relevant to what I am looking for. I can get a good deal on a CD/MP3 radio unit with usb connection from an 05 Cobalt for a really good deal.

Is there a different pin connector that would have to be wired in to get the radio to work and would I have any issues with the anti-theft?

Completely different system. Would be cheaper just to get an aftermarket radio.

1. Cobalt radio is double din. Cavalier is not. Physical fitment is frankly.impossible. much like puting the heart of an elephant in a mouse.

2. Connectors totally diff from early cobalt to later. Cobalt. Both of which are rediculously diff to cavalier. Square peg does not fit in round hole.

3. Jbody BCMs speak a diff language than cobalt. Your BCM will straight up reject a cobalt radio.

4. Just buy aftermarket.
