Hardwire an IPod

Is it possible to hardwire an Ipod to the stock HU in my '97 sunfire with CD Player, or is it a lost cause since there's no AUX available? Am I stuck having to replace the CD console?
Thanks for all your help!

This should work to connect an Ipod, but it won't be release until April 22

GM PXHGMKIT

You will need the other module that is listed there as well.

Yea, saw that too - there are a couple of products similar to this, however ive heard that if you have a HU with a CD (stock) theres no AUX for it connect to, is this true?

You could buy an RF Modulator, if you want something real easy. It interrupts your antenna and appears on an unused frequency when on (like 88.3 or something)

I usually check Best Buy's weekly add on their website since I no longer get the paper and they had advertised something that you can apparently hook up directly to your HU for an Ipod, but I'm unsure if it was for stock or aftermarket

I have something that fits the description. check out www.ipod2car.com and search the net for a cheaper price. it works well, and I'm pretty sure it'll work on a '97

Not all rf modulators are bad. I'm not talking about one that actually transmits. You plug your antenna into the box, and it then plugs into your head unit. It generates a signal that the radio thinks is a broadcast. I've seen some people with tiny fm broadcasters.
