I found this amp on eBay and was wondering if it was worth anything....

1200 watts for $199 seems very questionable at best. As said numerous times around here, you get what you pay for. The THD rating doesn't even say at what output power.
I've never heard of the company.

I saw BOSS 6 years ago at a show, they had a armored truck with 60 free air 15's....

As far as their stuff goes i never used it, as quikilcav said " you get what you pay for"

I've been using a 640 watt boss amp for the last 3 months running a 400 RMS ( 800 peak )12" Pioneer sub thats also hooked up to my rear speakers. And I've never had a problem .. And before it was in my trunk in my in my bothers pretty much doing the same thing for a year.. then 2 years ago he up graded to a 1000 watt boss amp, hooked up to 2 Pioneer 12" nickel-plated subs ...And it's loud as hell and he has never had a problem..Boss Just dose not have a big name or advertisements soo there cheap. If my option matters to you I would say do it..

i had 4 10" "nickel plated subs"..the ones that look like diamond plate and i was not impressed..they have great SQ tho...

Audiobahn are pretty cheap, and they are good too. Its a starting company, but they didnt start on ebay like pyle or piramid or legacy LOL......

boss is low level equipment, as long as you realise your not getting a 1200 watt amp u may be allright. it's problaby putting out 1/4 of what it claims to put out. and the distortion is probalby a little higher. personally i'd rather spend my money on an amp that does what it says. meaning

i'd rather have a 200$ amp that say 100 watts and puts out 100 watts

versus a 200$ amp that says 500 watts but puts out 100 watts.

Dude, Pyle has been around longer that the web itself. Much longer. They definitely did not start on eBay.

The places around Flint that carry BOSS,PYLE,Power Acoustic,Kenford, or ROCKWOOD as new products are PAWN shops, and they get it out of a mail order catalouge. Or as stated - FLEA MARKETS. CHEAP JUNK.
