Will this fit my amp?

i have a power 1000@2 and Power 800@4. i broke the bass control like a week ago and i need a new one. the one i had looked like this.

theres only one up for sale on ebay and i was outbid. i'm not paying more than 15 for it.

this one says it works with P series units but wont work with T series. i have no idea what series my amp is...

heres the same one i think for 15 bucks...

i know someone might say that i could use the gains on the amp, but even at max gains the amp doesnt put out what it should. without that knob it feels like its barely putting out anything. what did this guy do to his amp?

if i could do that, then i could just set my gains normally and never bother with the knob. if not, i'll just buy the knob.

thing is you should never have your gains on max. with almost any headunit today you should be clipping well before u get the gain on max. bass boost is a really good way to kill speakers. i will genereally adjust the volume up and keep any bass boost off. besides that. ahve u tried contacting kicker themselves?

its not my head unit, its my amp. i set the eq to 0 on the head unit and then i set the amp gains. but even at max gains the amp doesnt hit as hard without the bass knob. with the knob, i had the gains at like half. i havent contacted rockford yet, but i guess thats my next option.

It's not as loud at that one note, but overall it's the same. The remote bass knob only boosts the 45Hz frequency so all your really doing is putting a big jump in one part of your response curve.

most of the music i listen to has bass notes in the 40's so i notice a big difference. rockford didnt help and i still dont know if the newer style plug will fit/work.
