Hey guys I was just wondering how all you custom kit guys made everything fit, anyone care to share pictures of how they ran thier chargepipes..
I have the intercooler with the inlet/outlets on the opposite ends and was just looking for some ideas on how to route my charge pipes.
Thanks JBO!!

Requires cutting a hole:
And relocating the coolant reservoir (getting a new one)...
That's one solution, others run it under the engine which works as well.

Oh and relocating the battery, unless you go around it like the AEM intake does...

Dave, thanks A-TON!!!!!.. It looks great! .... I am going to go around my battery, I dont think running the chargepipe underneath the car would work too well..
I've been fallowing off your pictures and I was wondering how you were going to make that work, any details on which/how to mount the new overflow?

What coolant resivoir did you use? I still have the stock one and mine rubs the hood a little. I'd like to solve this, but don't know which resivoir to use.

I pm'ed him.. I guess he's not on the .org much.

I did too. If I could figure it out I would, I don't think it's GM, but I could be wrong. Anyone with any guess on which one that is?

You thinking Cobalt cavmania, I've only seen under the hood of those a couple times, and I can't reacall the shape of the resivoir. Oh, yeah and jon, do something about that fuse block would you.

Hey guys, sorry i was writing a work report recently, finished yesterday at 3:30am lol!
The reservoir I picked up is from a 2002 Saab 9-3. My brother just got his cobalt today, and I'm looking at that one and I like it even better. It looks quite a bit smaller, I'll measure tomorrow in the light and let you guys know..

THANK YOU!!!

Quick question, does it have all the vents or did you have to do something different with that?

THANK YOU DAVE!!, You've been a big help in my turbo build!!
Blue 04 TRD (XLS2K4).. it would have to have at least one inlet because GM uses a pressurized coolant resivoir.. so if it does it would be cake to just get a barbed "T" fitting and splice them together..

You're talking about the two smaller ones, the ones that go to the head and to the radiator right above the upper hose right. Other than that I think I can figure out the rest, I'm actually going to have to mount mine over by the alternator, no room in Dave's location. As you can see from my pix.

The Saab only has one inlet for the smaller hoses (which I bought a T fitting from NAPA for), and the one larger outlet. There is no breather hose. Another slight disadvantage is a different sensor plug. I just cut it off the Saab and will splice it onto the stock wires.
But like I said this is my first time to have a look at the cobalt, so I will get a detailed description of that one for you guys as well tomorrow.

Here is my car domain page. My pipes run under the car with makes for alot cleaner setup IMO. I also had to get rid of
my windshield washer fluid reservoir
