You could use the Harrop with the Gm kit, its designed to bolt on to the same intake manifold , the intake manifold on the cobalt ss or gm supercharger kit for the L61 is exactly the same
Here is the major thing the Harrop ships with a 80MM pulley, that is wayyyyyyyy too much boost for a stock motor. Even with the biggest pulley which is 90mm or 3.5 inch thats 16psi on a LSJ, on a L61 prob 13-14psi, still wayy too much boost for a stock motor. Do not consider the harrop unless you have a built L61, otherwise you will damage the motor. 60lb injectors are the minimum for this blower. Do not try to run it with anything smaller.
The only way this could be run with a L61 is either with a piggy back or a stand alone, the GM flash nor HPT will deliver the amount of fuel needed.
rhodius i remember you said this in a thread, so i was wondering how you tuned your cobalt for the harrop? why wouldnt HPT be able to work?

I believe it is extremely do-able.
it would be really sweet to have this blower, but 2250 for the blower, probably 400 or so for 60# injectors, 600 for hpt.. so i think spending 500 on a zex kit would be more cost effective lol.. only thing im debating is wet or dry.. i was told wet might damage the rotors, more specifically the bearings inside since the mix might take the lube off the bearings. only thing i dont know is how would the correct amount of fuel be used with a dry shot? ive been reading the nitrous forum the past few days, but this question is more towards will a wet shot damage the SC that bad or not.
vega, ill probably get in touch with you this weekend asking about tuning

I'm pretty sure he was comparing psi from blower to blower in his own way, lol.
I got what he meant.

... kinda like, 13 #'s from the M62= high 13's or 7# from a M45= high 13's?

Ok well the CFM is too much, call it what you want its way too much flow for a stock L61
And I dont recall any M45s ever doing above 220-230whp, so lets not start that discussion
The actual ppl who made it

1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
Bah, your can never flow too much CFM.

That’s kind of like saying it wasn’t Eaton that made the OE charger, it was Magnusson......
Same @!#$.
Engineered by Eaton, Designed by Eaton....Guess who made it?
Or my dealership is who makes your car, not Chevy.

Actually Eaton made the TVS 4 lobe rotor set, then sent them to Harrop. Harrop did all the CAD work and casting of the cases, they posted the entire build process over a number of months, over on cobaltss.net.
So Harrop did make this supercharger happen, from making it fit our intake manifold, to position of TB and LS4 TB compatibility, bypass position, to casting and shipping the final product, everything. Start to finish Harrop made the blower, Eaton only provided the rotor set. Just an FYI, not out to argue.

and we were talking about what the ROTORS would FLOW....

This blower is not for a stock L61, PERIOD
Even on the smallest of boost levels its still too much, you want to run this build the bottom end

1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
as far as tuning i would think a stand alone is pretty much your only option the gm eco supercharger m62 reflash isnt going to cut it

1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
HP tuners would work just fine for some but the reflash you could be right. My car has no idea what boost is yet it's easy to tune. S/C gives you a certain amount of air at a certain rpm, it doesn't change based on load like a turbo. You just tune it like it's a larger displacement engine.
Your computer lsj doesn't like it because it can sense that extra air coming in and says HEY THAT"S NOT RIGHT, so it seems.
Let me borrow that blower for a couple weeks rodiums

I should have my car running again hopefully very soon. I'd be happy to max both the m62 out and the Harrop and we'll see what each traps.
12.770 @ 111.99 Intercooled Eaton M62
DO it!
I want to get the 112HH for my GTO, (thats what Magnuson calls it

i second this
I wonder how people who put turbos on LSJ's work it out.... A T\G member did so with his... runs great...
I would think, with a good tune, a L61/LSJ would LOVE this charger..

Or maybe a LE5/L61............
hpt and the blower all day long. Hpt will handle it just fine like airtonics said. Hpt + S/c tuning = Simple.
