Well, I had some fun in the garage this weekend!
I did a test fit on the core and end tanks, and it fit well.
So its off for welding toinight!
Cant wait to get it back!

Well I got it back yesterday from the weld shop.
If any of you remember, its the shop that made my "bigger than life" radiator.
He does excellent work. It Wizard Cooling, he has a website, and he is local to where I live!
I just have to make some mounting brackets today, so should have some more pictures by tomorrow!
I also got my fans in the mail, so now they are mounted too!

P.S. These are two different cars, one is my POS 96 daily, and one is the 00 boosted and built, just to clarify.

Making the mounting bracket for this soon, just been very busy!
Should be up and running in a month or two.
Im working on the rear brakes now too, and little side jobs.

Thanks ZYAAAA lol

You better be ready to assist in getting this beast up and running!
I cant wait, I just ordered the rear rotors, some stuff for my custom valve cover,
s/s brake line components, and my new master cylinder.

Also just mounted the Innovate LC-1 last night.

Very nice.

We use a little different method in our same-side in-out, in that our airflow does not pass through the core twice (we instead incorporate a cross-over channel into the intercooler envelope itself). However, so long as your core fin density is loose enough to not cause excessive restriction from the long core path this dual-passing creates, you will be just fine.

Of course, our core is also smaller, designed to fit under the stock bumper bar, so dual-passing it was not an option. Which is not to say it's "small"...it can support up to 600 HP nicely. Just a different approach for different reasons.

Can't wait to see it when it's done, Phil!

Actually, when you take into consideration the size of the passages about .25" tall x 2.5" deep that is .625"sq. per channel
.625 x 9 per pass equals 5.625"sq.
The inlet is 2.5 OD which is about 2.375 ID
Area is 4.42"sq.

So it works out fine.

Do you know if the fin density is open enough to compensate for the long cooling path the dual-pass creates? Typically, that's the key to a dual pass, else there's excessive air friction and attendant pressure drop.

Well im not really worried about the pressure drop through the piping and intercooler.
I have my wastegate and psi gauge ran from my throttle body, so it is giving a true reading to what boost levels the engine is getting.
I know that the psi drop through the whole system should not be greater than 3-4 psi, which means at 20 psi intake pressure, the turbo is putting out 23-24, its still within range of efficiency.

I really appreciate people like you, Bill, who ask many questions.
It keeps people like me thinking.

Sounds like you have it all well covered. I think what's in your favor is that the core is large enough so that even as a dual-pass, airflow should remain quite good. Were it a smaller core, I'd me more concerned. Additionally, with the air being scrubbed of heat for that distance of core, the efficiency should be phenomenal!

It's my pleasure to add some detail for you and everyone else. I love this stuff!

Well the efficiency of my old rounting was non-existant.
This one should be great!!!!!
I have 10 external gauges, and I think I need one for IAT now, to see how good it works!

how much boost are you planning to push through that?

i better hear some astronomical number, otherwise that thing is just overkill. lol

Right now, im looking at pushing 18-22 PSI @ about 550 CFM.
Then upgradeing maybe next year with the Hahn Hybrid 20G or the FP-Green and flowing about 730 CFM and same pressure level.
I want to break 300 WHP this year, and push for 400+ next year, if its possible.

Everything I do is overkill anyways.
Have you seen my suspension, engine, or brakes?

Here it is fully installed.
Too bad it wont be running soon .....
My job thought it would be a good idea to ship me out to Oregon for 6+ months.
So please any opinions would be nice, since I wont be able to run it this year!
