well im new at the truboing a Jbody too but i was just lookin through a post alil earlier. i came across teh same thing you are doing (turboing a 2200) and someone said hes runnin 8 and hes fine but i do kno it depends on turbo sizes. i will be runnin 7 on my 2.4 outa a T3 but like i said im also new at this. hope that was of some kind of help. im not building my engine. lowering my compression will take away some power so i figured ill just boost 7 or 8psi and see just as good gains (i hope). (anyone correct me if im wrong)

If you have an extra 5 bills to spend, it's time to buy a new ride. Or you could always go with a nice 70" high def tv

Good idea!!! get a dsm for 1-2k, put the remaining money into it. i think ive spent a total of about 4k on my eclipse including the car and i should be good for at least 350 hp. then you would still have your daily driver (cavi). doesnt get much better than that. a 2.2 ohv's potential hp wise isnt much higher than a dsm stock for the msot part, ive seen like 210, does anyone have any higher than that?

Dont waste your money on a cavalier. Buy a camaro . You can buy a 93-97 camaro for $5000 that will run anywhere from 14 seconds to high twelves for that much money

not everyone has a mullet

The 2.0 swap you wont do for 5 grand you will spend that in parts alone

best bet is an eco from the junkyard with a turbo kit, best reliablity with power

I say if you want get a turbo. Run low boost at first. Then in the future do more with it.

I think that with the whole get a new car attitude, this is the reason J-bodies are where they are now. Why should companies even R&D parts when all they see on here is go buy a new car.

u make the best point. I am always talkin with my friends w/ their VW's how they are all so into their cars and love every part of them, one day they asked me if jbody owners love their cars as much. I then showed them this thread and they almost fell over laughing! J-bodys are always gonna need custom stuff cuz hardly any j owner has real pride in their car.. I say do a eco swap or 2.4. they are booth great platforms. the 2.4 can be had for around 300-500 bucks out of a junk yard with less then 50k on it. don't know much about the eco.
