well the proto s/c is finally on , i ran it last night under full boost with no reflash , according to the wide band the a/f was in the low 11 and low 12's , i was running 89 last night
i raced a friends SS/SC 05 cobalt , and if he woulda shifted faster he woulda beat me , but it took him alot to catch up each time
i got the reflash done today , and ive seen intake temps from cruise around 150-170 , and under boost in the 200 range , it was close to 113 today
ive seen the boost as high as 7-8 psi last night , normal seams to be around 5-6 psi during the day
ive still got a few things to clean up , and some lines to run , and a new intake piping to run , i still gotta get some parts for it
ive only been in 1 cav with the production s/c , and mine is a whole lot louder
on to the pics

yeah , its the joy of having a wideband o2 sensor , when i drove the car earlier tonight , i think my a/f was better before the reflash , i saw low 12's and 11's last night , and earlier i saw 13's

thats awesome.. nice wheels too

im a boost newb...how is that a prototype. i thought a sc for teh 2.4 was already out

GM never destroyed the prototype unit. Therefore it was one of the first SC'ers put on a 2.4L.
It's also a 2 piece unit and not a 1 piece like the production 2.4 SC.

oooo....ok well in that case.....cool

That is totally awesome. whats the "proto type" is there a difference vs. the production type?

Dude I love that! Looks sooo nice in there, I can't wait for video!
So what it everything you expected

?
.............and damn your sedan is looking hot! I like those lips :p.

if you look at my s/c its the same as the 1 in the pic in the performance parts catalog , other than my s/c is silver instead of black like teske's was in the pic
my s/c and intake are 2 seperate pieces , instead of cast as 1 piece like the production unit

here is a pic of the s/c

i had to drill the manifold for the pcv port , because GM never did it , and the injectors that came with the proto type
here is a pic of the injectors

and big thank you to jake for the cruise bracket , and cable !!! hope the o2 sim is workin
and a thank you to snowman(justin) for the reflash , and ted for helping with the supervision of the install , lol
and thank you to the g/f for the s/c , and the 9 gallons of 101 octane , since i didnt know how long it would take for the reflash , even with her liking my cav better than the cobalt ss/sc , lol
the s/c whine is very addicting , LOL

heck ya the sound is addicting. i cant imagine it being louder then my car is now, that is sweet.
also my intake temps are no more then 130-140 @ wot . on 80 degree'ish days. but i have water injection and 5 psi of boost.i am currently using windshield washer fluid, but switching over to 50/50 mix of methonal and water. (yellow bottled HEET and distilled water)
i highly recommend the coolingmist.com water injection set up. he has the same kit i have now on e bay. it is this one.
i think that will help tons with your high intake temps. Also u have all the correct guages to monitor everything so i really know what this set up is doing.

yeah i do plan on getting 1 , i havent decieded if i want the 100psi or the 150 psi
if got to worry about keep the fliud in mist form longer than you guys , i got a plenuim at the bottom of the intake , and 2 ports are at the bottom and 2 ports are up top , so puddling will hurt me a little more than you guys
im also tempted to move up to 350-360 cc injectors
with out the s/c my intake temp was about 5-20 degrees hotter than outside temp , with has been in the 100-115 range , and with the car sitting it would jump to 150-160 range
i dont have a wall between the air filter and the engine compartment , but my filter is in the bumper
with the s/c during cruise in the heat im seeing in the 130-160 range , i didnt even look at the temp when i took it for a spin last night
im not sure when ill get to the alky injection , smaller pulley , and bigger injectors , i got a few other things to take care of right now
but for now im happy , and LOVE'N IT

i want to find a way to cool my intake temps more. like custom ducting/(ghetto) to blow cold air from outside onto the s/c housing. not sure if that will work. or some sorta ducting for the intake( 90degree straight down from the tb) to get colder air. I have drilled some holes in my plastic thing under the radiator that u always scrape where the air filter would see a little more air. I will hack up something to work.
But so far i am happy with the intake temps/ under boost temps with my current set up.
i have my water injection nozzle injector thing right in the rubber elbow b4 the t/b.
anyways, your car is looking good and glad u got it running right.

Good deal! Now lose the Ford blue paint you ricer

. That's my only request

.
You buy that whole engine? I don't know the story on how you got the production unit, please inform me.
I know Schram was selling one out the Technic.

yeah it came from schrams , motor and trans harness and a pcm
it was out of a sunfire , according to the paper work
and no im not loosing the blue , itll match better once im done , prob by next bash , LOL
besides ford was the only 1 that has a good looking blue for engine paint , lol

looks great man, really makes me want to get a newer cav w/ the GM charger
