How much did you spend total to turbo your car, did u get a kit or buy everything seperate?
It cost me 3500 CDN but I got everything really nice and didn't cheap out on ANYTHING......... Stage 3 set up............... T3 turbo........ on a 2200.........

then another 3 weeks of Bull S#&* to get it tuned and running perfect........................

I too have a 2.2 and spent about 1,200 initially but now have much more into it and thats ebaying everything i couldent make myselfe. But its all worth it to make a 3 speed auto 2.2 do 14's
3000+ and its not even on the car yet, I still have about a grand more I want to spend.

for the engine and turbo-related parts, $3000-$3500us i think. if you want to count the two clutches, 5-speed tranny, two shift levers, shift cables, computer, harness and all that other mess, well...
yeah
for everything including the car and donor car, about $7k.
still have plenty to do for longevity (and for making the engine bay pretty), but it's getting there.

damn, i ain't getting a turbo anytime soon and i have heard of all different people paying all kinds of prices. And now i see, but it just depends how much you want out of it. I am thinking about spending how much Ronald Gill did if i am gunna get a turbo
I am up to $1,200 and the only other things I have to buy is my injectors and boost controller. I got the stuff I wanted and a few used things. I just compromised on the things I wanted new and what I wanted used.

I spent about $2k US to turbo my Z........ every part was new...... a few parts where found on EBAY......... only thing I would have done differently, I would have put an FMU on it.... and picked up a wide band 02, instead of the EGT Gauge....... but either way, it still got me into the 12's.....

I bought my kit used from a guy here on the .org for $1300.
I am now up to probably $2200 and am about ready to drop another grand into the car.
BTW, this is for a 2.4L.
I have not skimped on anything, everything is brand spanking new. I would have to say I did pretty good, the turbo even has a warranty.

I got everything BRAND NEW FROM ebay..... I mean every part...... from BOV to Boost controller....................... to turbo to intercooler........ EBAY ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3500.00 CDN in the car tuned and ready to race.................... help that I have RSM racing 20 minutes from my house...... (they tuned it and did some other small stuff)
it was a mistake and I had to re do everything they did because they F**KED it up HUGE>>........... they almost blew my turbo ....telling me that an oil restrictor doesn't exist for my car .... turns out it's only $8........ there computer program was running my car lean during accel...........they ripped me off and held my car till I could save up enough to get it back .................... so I guess when you think about it RSM caused me problems and I had to redo everytthing INCLUDING TUNING myself ....................
